The most expensive guanaco picture ever! Okay, that's not entirely true. But I did book a private van tour for the day (see my description of the previous photo page) just so I could get at least one shot like this. The guanacos were simply beautiful animals that I never tired of seeing.
I'm not a wildlife photographer at all. I can sit for hours waiting for the right light but stick a moving animal in front of me and things go downhill fast. That should tell you how easy it is to take a good guanaco picture in Torres del Paine, as long as you are able to travel at will in the eastern section of the park (particularly the roads and areas around Laguna Armaga).
